Client Overview
Schneider Electric is a global leader in the digital transformation of energy management and automation. With a strong presence across homes, buildings, industries, and data centres, the company specialises in electrification, automation, and digitisation, delivering end-to-end solutions that enhance efficiency, safety, and sustainability. Their portfolio spans connected products, software, services, and digital twin technology used by enterprises around the world.
For an organisation operating at this scale, communication is not merely operational, it is strategic. Every environment must support clarity, collaboration, and consistency across global teams.
Executive Project Snapshot
This Town Hall project establishes a new benchmark for flexible, hybrid corporate collaboration. Conceived as a modular, high-performance environment, the facility was engineered to deliver both intelligence and adaptability, ensuring that the space could evolve alongside the dynamic needs of a global enterprise.
Rather than designing a conventional large-format meeting space, the objective was to create a technical blueprint for multi-functional workplace engineering, one capable of hosting everything from focused leadership sessions to enterprise-wide broadcasts without compromising performance.
Project Objective
The client envisioned a Town Hall environment that could seamlessly transition between multiple operational formats while maintaining consistent audiovisual quality.
The strategic intent centred on three key priorities:
- Enable frictionless movement between local meetings and global broadcasts
- Maximise spatial efficiency through intelligent AV orchestration
- Deliver a future-ready infrastructure aligned with hybrid collaboration
To support this vision, the system architecture was designed around three primary application scenarios:
- Town Hall Addresses: Authoritative audio paired with high-impact visual delivery ensures executive communications resonate equally with in-room and remote audiences.
- Training and Boardroom Sessions: Interactive environments enable deeper engagement during strategic discussions, leadership workshops, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Cultural Events and Stage Performances: Recognising that corporate culture is often expressed through shared experiences, the design incorporates immersive staging supported by a dedicated mobile equipment rack featuring an audio equaliser, preview monitor, and camera control joystick for precision manual oversight.
The result is a space that supports both operational rigour and organisational culture – an increasingly critical balance in modern workplaces.
The Modular Innovation
At the heart of the facility lies its defining feature: modularity.
The physical floor plan can be partitioned into three independent rooms or unified into a single expansive venue. Anchoring the visual experience are striking 163-inch curved LED walls in Rooms 1 and 3, complemented by a specialised 110-inch display in Room 2.
This architectural flexibility enables three powerful operating modes.
Scenario 1: Smart Room Independence
Each room functions as a fully autonomous collaboration environment, capable of hosting simultaneous events with dedicated AV control.
This configuration allows maximum operational efficiency. A leadership training program can run in one room while another hosts an executive review – without signal bleed, acoustic disruption, or technological overlap.

Such independence is particularly valuable for organisations managing multiple stakeholder engagements within compressed timelines.
Scenario 2: Combined Impact (2+1 Configuration)
Rooms 1 and 2 can be merged into a unified presentation venue while Room 3 remains operational as a standalone space.
In this mode, the curved 163-inch LED wall and the 110-inch display operate in synchronised harmony, presenting unified content across the expanded environment.
Presenter tracking is intelligently optimised, Room 1 maintains full tracking capability, while Room 2 focuses specifically on the stage area, ensuring visual continuity without distracting camera movement.

The configuration demonstrates how spatial engineering can enhance audience focus while supporting scalable participation.
Scenario 3: Unified Global Town Hall
For enterprise-wide broadcasts and large-scale events, all three rooms converge into a single collaboration arena.
This mode introduces dual-stage presentation zones positioned in Rooms 1 and 3. Presenters can move naturally between stages while the AI-driven system performs an intelligent “handoff” between camera arrays, preserving visual continuity for both physical and remote participants.

The experience feels effortless, yet behind the scenes, it represents a sophisticated orchestration of tracking intelligence, signal routing, and content synchronisation.
Technical Excellence: Where Intelligence Meets Performance
The Voice Lift Revolution: One of the installation’s most distinctive features is its voice lift system, a first-of-its-kind deployment that eliminates the need for handheld microphones during standard presentations.
Using AI-driven control, the system dynamically adjusts amplification across programmable zones:
- Presentation Mode: Audio is concentrated on the stage for authoritative delivery.
- Q&A Mode: Amplification expands to audience areas, encouraging dialogue.
- Audience Walk-Through Logic: When a presenter switches to a collar microphone, audience microphones automatically mute, preventing feedback while preserving clarity.
The result is natural, uninterrupted communication – a hallmark of high-performing collaboration environments.
Integrated Control Ecosystem: Despite the technological sophistication underpinning the space, the user experience remains intentionally simple. Non-technical staff can manage routing through touch panels or utilise an iPad for wireless control. This enables effortless content sharing, while transitions between independent and combined room modes occur through a single touch.
This philosophy, complex engineering made intuitive, ensures high adoption across user groups.
Engineering Challenges & Strategic Mitigation
Delivering a project of this complexity required meticulous coordination and forward-thinking design.
- Complex Room Combinations & AV Synchronisation were addressed through a modular AV architecture, enabling seamless logic transitions based on presenter location.
- Acoustic Management demanded careful calibration. Strategic placement of acoustic panels combined with AI-driven gain control to optimise clarity. Dynamic mic switching ensured smooth transitions during presentations.
- Smart Presenter Tracking & Camera Management required overlapping tracking zones and automated handoff logic, allowing cameras to transition smoothly.
These measures underscore a critical truth: exceptional AV environments are as much about disciplined execution as they are about innovation.
Business Impact: Enabling the Future Workplace
The facility delivers measurable strategic advantages:
- Greater utilisation through modular spatial design
- Enhanced executive communication
- Improved hybrid meeting experiences
- Reduced operational complexity
- Scalable infrastructure for future needs
More importantly, it empowers the organisation to communicate with confidence – whether addressing a room of fifty or broadcasting to a global workforce.
Project Criticality – A High-Stakes Delivery Under Global Spotlight
This project carried exceptional strategic significance, not only for Schneider Electric but for every partner involved in its development. The project was scheduled for inauguration in the presence of the CEO of Schneider Electric and His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, President of the UAE National Olympic Committee and son of the Prime Minister of the UAE, underscoring the importance, visibility, and delivery criticality of this initiative.
Despite the compressed delivery window and the complexity of designing a technology-led space from the ground up, Online Instruments executed the project in record time. Through rapid prototyping, parallel workflows, and continuous collaboration across global teams, the space was delivered flawlessly, fully functional, fully calibrated, and event-ready for a VIP-level showcase.
This milestone reinforced Online Instruments’ reputation for precision execution at scale, earning appreciation from Schneider Electric’s global leadership and dignitaries present at the launch.
Industry Spotlight
Recognised for its innovation and engineering excellence, the project was honoured with the Inavation Awards 2026 under the Project Award Category for Connected Meeting Spaces, reinforcing its status as a best-in-class corporate collaboration environment on the global stage.
